VIDEO: Camera Captures Moment of Collision Between Passenger and Freight Trains in Greece

Camera footage has captured the moment of the collision between passenger and freight trains in Greece. It is reported that as a result of the railway accident, 36 people lost their lives, and more than 80 were injured.

Earlier, it was reported that the trains had been moving towards each other on the same track for nearly an hour. Additionally, Greece's Minister of Transport, Kostas Karamanlis, has resigned.

"This is what I consider my duty to do as a minimal sign of respect for the memory of those who have been unjustly taken from life, as well as to take responsibility for the failures of Greece’s state and political system," said the minister.

Previously, the head of the railway station in Greece was arrested following the collision between the passenger and freight trains in the area of Tempe.
