Death Toll from Earthquake in Turkey Rises to 284, Injured Count at 2383
As a result of a 7.4 magnitude earthquake in Turkey's Kahramanmaraş province, the death toll has reached 284, with more than 2383 individuals injured. Local media report this information. The press service of Turkey’s Emergency Situations Ministry also reports that Azerbaijan is preparing to send a group of 370 rescuers to Turkey to help eliminate the consequences of the earthquake and assist in search and rescue operations.
Earlier, it was reported that the death toll in Syria from the earthquake has reached 237, with 639 people injured. The Syrian opposition has declared a state of emergency in the northwestern regions of the country. The numbers of casualties and injuries continue to be updated.
