Investigation Launched into Stabbing of Waste Cleanup Workers in Yerevan
The Investigative Committee of Armenia has initiated a criminal case regarding the stabbing of two male employees working for the municipal organization 'Yerevan Waste Collection and Sanitation' in Yerevan. The case is being processed by the Avan and Nor Nork investigative department of the Yerevan Investigative Committee under the characteristics of Article 167, part 2, point 8 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia, pertaining to causing medium harm to health using a weapon or an object prepared in advance for this purpose.
Gor Abrahamyan, the spokesperson for the Committee, reported this information. An investigation is underway, and primary urgent procedural and evidence-gathering actions have been taken to clarify the circumstances of the incident. A forensic examination has been ordered.
There is operational information available regarding the identity of the person who allegedly committed the crime. The police have been instructed to identify the individual who reportedly committed the crime and to present them to the prosecuting authority.
