The West Lacks the Courage to Acknowledge the Failure of Sanctions Against Russia: Dmitry Medvedev
Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Medvedev, has stated that Western countries lack the courage to admit that their sanctions against the Russian Federation have been ineffective. Medvedev wrote this on his Telegram channel.
“Enemy countries lack the courage to admit that their 'devilish' sanctions have completely failed. The overwhelming majority of industrial and consumer goods have been replaced by our own Russian products, while the missing items have been imported from Asia,” Medvedev said.
“Thus, everything is as it always is. The Americans profit from a humiliated Europe.”
It is worth recalling that on February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had decided to carry out a military special operation in Ukraine in response to a request for assistance from the leaders of the Luhansk and Donetsk People's Republics. The decision to conduct military operations has led to new sanctions being imposed on Russia by the U.S. and its allied countries.
