Ankara Will Support the Export of Additional Azerbaijani Gas Volumes to Europe

Ankara is ready to support the export of additional volumes of Azerbaijani gas to Europe. This was announced by Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu during a joint press conference with Hungary's Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó in Budapest, as reported by Interfax.

“Turkey will provide all possible support to Hungary and certain countries in Southeast Europe for the additional supply of gas that will be produced in Azerbaijan in the near future,” said Çavuşoğlu.

The Turkish Foreign Minister also expressed confidence in the further strengthening of energy cooperation with Hungary. He noted that Szijjártó had previously confirmed his participation in the Istanbul Gas Forum, which will be held in February.

Meanwhile, Hungary's Foreign Minister noted Turkey's undeniable role in ensuring Hungary's energy security.
