"Poland and Lithuania Have Completely Disappeared," Says Lukashenko

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has stated that Ukraine is proposing to sign a non-aggression pact while simultaneously continuing to train militants that pose a potential threat to Belarus's national security.

"I do not understand why the Ukrainians are doing this. On the one hand, they ask us not to engage in any conflict with Ukraine so that our troops do not move there. They offer to sign a non-aggression pact," Lukashenko said during a meeting dedicated to the socio-political situation and crime in the country. His remarks were quoted by the BelTA agency.

Lukashenko believes that "Poland and Lithuania have completely disappeared." He added, "What is the purpose of creating threats? It is unclear, therefore, we are forced to respond firmly," likely referring to threats directed at Russia.

“We have enough problems along the perimeter - both in the airspace and on the ground; we have plenty of issues there. God forbid that all of this will remain intact,” the Belarusian president added.
