The "Civil Contract" faction of the National Assembly has decided not to appeal to the Constitutional Court regarding the issue of stripping the mandates of 22 lawmakers from the opposition "Armenia" faction. This was stated by the leader of the ruling faction, Hayk Konjoryan, during a press briefing with journalists.

"We have decided to give the opposition an opportunity to come to parliament and work. This is also a sign of respect for the citizens who voted for the opposition," he said.

The 22 lawmakers from the "Armenia" faction have not participated in voting since more than half of the previous parliamentary session, after which the question of stripping them of their mandates was added to the agenda of the National Assembly Council. It has been postponed for a week because the opposition members did not participate in the council meeting.
