Gas Prices in Europe Accelerate Growth Rate - What is Known
On Monday, gas prices in Europe accelerated their growth rate, reaching nearly 12 percent and approaching $850 per thousand cubic meters. This is supported by data from the London ICE exchange.
February futures based on the TTF index opened at $773.6 per 1000 cubic meters (+2%), while as of 20:46 Yerevan time, their value was $846.6 (+11.6%). The dynamics of the quotes are based on the price set on Friday, which was $758.5 per thousand cubic meters.
Furthermore, on January 5, gas exchange prices in Europe fell below $700 per thousand cubic meters for the first time since September 10, 2021.
