Belarusian Defense Ministry Discusses Two Theories on Ukrainian Missile Falling into Its Territory
The Belarusian Ministry of Defense considers one of the theories surrounding the incident involving the Ukrainian S-300 missile to be a provocation by the Ukrainian armed forces.
Colonel Kiril Kazantsev, head of Belarus's air defense forces, stated that there are two theories regarding the event. The first theory suggests that the missile was launched unintentionally, possibly due to poor preparation of Ukrainian soldiers or a malfunction of the missile itself. The second theory posits that it was a deliberate provocation by the Ukrainian armed forces.
Kazantsev emphasized that Belarus's air defense combat brigades regularly conduct operations related to the detection of aerial targets.
It should be noted that the previous day, fragments of a Ukrainian S-300 missile fell in the Brest region. Fortunately, there were no casualties, although the debris landed just 66 meters away from a residential building.
