Kosovo Preparations to Purchase Bayraktar Drones from Turkey
Kosovo is in negotiations with Turkey to acquire 12 Bayraktar TB2 unmanned aerial vehicles. This was reported by the website Avia.pro.
Amid rising tensions between Serbia and Kosovo, Pristina has decided to procure a squadron of Turkish Bayraktar TB2 strike and reconnaissance drones. It is presumed that the drones will be utilized for reconnaissance in regions bordering Serbia, as well as to counter the Pantsir-S systems.
So far, it is known that Pristina and Ankara are already discussing the supply of Bayraktar TB2 strike drones to Kosovo. Sources indicate that Kosovo intends to accept a total of 12 unmanned aerial vehicles. Meanwhile, it has been reported that Turkey and Kosovo have not yet reached a final agreement on this matter; however, Turkey is prepared to provide strike drones as early as next year if necessary.
