Russian Defense Ministry on the Situation Regarding the Lachin Corridor
The command of the Russian peacekeepers continues negotiations with the Armenian and Azerbaijani sides to unblock the Lachin corridor. This was reported in the daily briefing by the Russian Defense Ministry.
It is noted that there have been no recorded incidents of ceasefire violations in the area of responsibility of the Russian peacekeepers. Patrols have been conducted in three directions: in the Martuni and Martakert regions and along the Lachin corridor.
It is reminded that since December 12, a group of Azerbaijanis has closed the Lachin corridor. Hundreds of citizens, including minors, are unable to return home. The transportation links between the villages of Lisagor, Mets Shen, Hin Shen, and Yeghdzahogh in the Shushi region and the capital Stepanakert have been interrupted.
