Biden to Announce Delivery of Patriot Air Defense Systems to Kyiv in Meeting with Zelensky Today: Axios

Today, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will visit Washington, where he will meet with U.S. President Joe Biden. During this meeting, the U.S. leader is expected to announce the provision of Patriot air defense systems to Kyiv. This was reported by Axios, citing a senior official from Biden's administration.

Although the U.S. and its allies, including France and Germany, have recently provided various missile defense systems to Ukraine, the Patriot system will be the most advanced to be sent to the country since the start of the war.

Zelensky’s visit to Washington will be his first foreign trip since the war began in his country. He will meet with Biden, hold a press conference, and then give a speech before a joint session of Congress—all within a matter of hours.
