What Did Pashinyan and the CPP Discuss? Details
The meeting between the ruling majority, the "Civil Contract" faction, and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has concluded. According to ArmLur.am's sources, the ruling party members discussed the current situation with Pashinyan but did not receive a clear answer regarding the crucial question of when the Berdzor corridor will finally be opened.
Our sources close to the CPP reported that Pashinyan told his teammates that they are in touch with various international bodies; however, no one is providing concrete and definitive guarantees regarding the opening of the corridor.
Regarding Russia's mediating role, Pashinyan did not provide clarity either. He only noted that our strategic partner seems to have pushed this issue to the background, stating, "But we can understand that, they are in a war, their head is muddled." As for the opinion of CPP members that all of this is aimed at Armenia applying to become a unified country, no discussion occurred on that matter, according to our source.
It should be noted that the majority of the ruling party members did not attend the aforementioned meeting.
