Why Azerbaijan Sent a Protest Note to Russia
Azerbaijan has sent a protest note to Russia. Official Baku accuses Russia that the Russian peacekeepers stationed in Artsakh have not adhered to agreements and have not allowed Azerbaijani "environmentalists" to conduct a tour of the Dremboni and Kashen mines.
It should be noted that yesterday, the Artsakh information headquarters reported that the Azerbaijani side had approached the commander of the Russian peacekeeping forces to conduct observations in the Martakert region's mines. The peacekeeping command, in accordance with instructions from their higher authorities, has permitted a one-time visual visit to the aforementioned mines. However, the proposed plan has not been coordinated with the authorities of the Republic of Artsakh and the organization exploiting the mines, which led to the spontaneous blocking of the mentioned group's access to the mining areas by employees of the mining company and residents of nearby communities.
