US on the Impact of Russian Oil Price Cap
The establishment of a price cap on Russian oil will not affect global prices in the long term. This was stated by John Kirby, the coordinator for strategic communications at the National Security Council of the White House, according to RT.
“We firmly believe that this price threshold will establish a discount on Russian oil,” TASS quoted him as saying.
Washington does not consider this will have any effect on global oil prices, Kirby added.
Earlier, Sergey Pikin, head of the Energy Development Foundation and an economic expert, spoke to Nation News about the consequences of the price cap on Russian oil for the European Union.
