World Bank President: $350 Billion Needed for Ukraine's Reconstruction
World Bank President David Malpass has stated to Reuters that $350 billion is necessary for Ukraine's post-war reconstruction.
According to him, restoring the energy system, which has been largely destroyed due to Russian shelling and bombing, will be very costly. Malpass expressed his belief that Russia's strategy in Ukraine is 'the destruction of everything.'
He noted that the World Bank has already provided $18 billion to Kyiv. 'I don't think there's donor fatigue regarding Ukraine; on the contrary, I see that the world considers this issue urgent and wants progress,' Malpass declared.
