‘They Are Not Peacekeepers, But Pro-Armenian Forces’: Azerbaijani MP on Russia’s Policies

During today’s session of the Milli Mejlis, MP Fazail Agamal said that Russia is also pursuing anti-Azerbaijani politics. Azerbaijani media outlets have reported on this.

“On one hand, there is the trilateral statement signed by Putin, and on the other hand, there are Lavrov’s statements against Azerbaijan. Moreover, the commander of the Russian peacekeeping forces is not authorized to act independently. Essentially, they are not peacekeepers but pro-Armenian forces,” said the Azerbaijani MP.

The MP also mentioned that they need to establish their own supervisory position in the Lachin corridor. He further emphasized that Iran’s anti-Azerbaijani propaganda campaign, as well as France’s anti-Azerbaijani campaign, will continue.
