Of Course, Madam Ursula Was Wrong: Ukrainian Casualty Figures Mentioned
Mikhail Podolyak, advisor to the head of the Ukrainian president's office, announced that between 10,000 and 13,000 Ukrainian soldiers have been killed since February. He also referred to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen's estimate of 100,000 casualties as incorrect.
“Of course, Madam Ursula was wrong, this is obvious. That's why the video was taken down, those numbers were removed. Because we have the official assessments from the General Staff, which state that the Supreme Commander has reported casualties ranging from 10,000 to 12,500-13,000,” Podolyak said. This information was reported by kommersant.ru.
This week, the European Commission President stated that Ukrainian armed forces have lost 100,000 personnel since the beginning of the military conflict, with more than 20,000 civilians also reported dead. On the same day, her statement was amended, and the mention of 100,000 deceased individuals was removed.
