Video: Solovyov Comments on Previous Scandalous Broadcast
Vladimir Solovyov commented on political scientist Drobnitsky's statement during his evening show, who referred to Kazakhstan as Russia's next issue after Ukraine, according to Kazakh media reports.
In the new broadcast, Solovyov specifically addressed the political scientist's comment, which has become a source of scandal among the public.
“We invite the best Russian and foreign experts to join us on air, and each has their own position, expressing their views on current events. And often these viewpoints clash with each other. This is called a diversity of opinion and freedom of speech. Times are not easy now; sometimes everyone's emotions get out of hand. Because we all genuinely think about our country and its future. But I repeat once again, times are not easy,” said the host.
He reminded that one of the main guests at the forum held in St. Petersburg last summer was Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Tokayev is now expected in Orenburg, where he will meet with Putin on Monday, added Solovyov.
“Of course, Russian and Kazakh political scientists, experts, and journalists will closely follow this event. On behalf of our program, I can say that our respect for Tokayev remains unchanged. During heated discussions, unfortunately, anything can happen. But we love Kazakhstan, respect its leadership, and fully understand the importance of Russian-Kazakh friendship,” said Solovyov.
In his YouTube show, Solovyov stated that after the scandalous release, there have been persecutions against political scientist Drobnitsky.
