Has Anna Grigoryan Been Expelled or Has She Resigned? "Hayastan"
Member of the National Assembly from the "Hayastan" faction, Anna Grigoryan, has not been in contact with her fellow party members from the "Reviving Armenia" party for nearly two months. This information was reported by the newspaper "Hayrapet".
According to "Hayrapet", Anna has been expelled from the party because Vahe Hakobyan was dissatisfied with her, believing that she should coordinate all her actions with him, which she failed to do. Currently, Anna Grigoryan is on a mission in Madrid as part of a parliamentary delegation that also includes Vahagn Aleksanyan and Andranik Kocharyan.
The news agency reached out to Grigoryan, who confirmed that she has left the party through which she entered the parliament as part of a coalition. She did not deny that there were disagreements between her and the party leadership, which led to the severing of ties. She added that she was not expelled but chose to leave herself.
“Arthur Sarksyan and I personally wrote a letter regarding our departure from the party. Additionally, Arush Arushanyan did the same. In other words, the entire Syunik faction has left the party,” Grigoryan stated, promising to provide more details when she returns to Armenia.
The news agency also spoke with the party’s president, Vahe Hakobyan. He stated that the memberships of Anna Grigoryan and Arthur Sarksyan in the party have been revoked. “They were offered to write a letter to resign, and they wrote that they have left, just like it happened in the case of Manvel Paramazyan,” said Vahe Hakobyan.
It should be noted that Anna Grigoryan first became a deputy in December 2020 through the list of the "My Step" coalition when Tigran Karapetyan from Syunik resigned his mandate. However, before entering the parliament, she had already announced that she would be leaving the "My Step" and would act as an independent deputy with opposition views.
