Xi Jinping Accuses Justin Trudeau of Leaking Conversation Details

The President of the People's Republic of China (PRC), Xi Jinping, has criticized Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for leaking information about their conversations to the press, as reported by CBC.

This dialogue took place between the two leaders during their meeting at the G20 summit in Bali. According to the recording of the conversation, Xi told Trudeau through a translator, "That is unacceptable. We don't do that. If we are talking about sincerity, we should respect each other," added the Chinese president.

In response, Trudeau told Xi, "We will continue to have free, open, and honest dialogue. I will continue our constructive work together, but there will still be topics on which we will have disagreements."

Xi replied, "First, create the conditions." Following this exchange, both leaders shook hands and parted ways.

However, Xi did not specify what leak had angered him. Meanwhile, on November 15, the Canadian publication Global Times, citing an anonymous source, reported that during the first day of the G20 summit, Trudeau initiated a conversation with Xi, in which they discussed China's alleged interference in Canadian elections, the Russia-Ukraine conflict, and North Korea.

The G20 summit is set to take place in Bali from November 15 to 16, during which leaders including Xi Jinping, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, and European Council President Charles Michel are expected to speak.
