Armenia and Iran Sign Memorandum
As reported, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is on a working visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran. A meeting took place in Tehran between the Prime Minister of Armenia and Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi. Raisi stated that Pashinyan's visit will undoubtedly be a turning point in the development of both countries, adding that the good relations between the two countries will have a positive impact on the region and the world.
According to him, regional issues must be addressed by regional actors. For his part, Armenia's Prime Minister highly appreciated Raisi's approach towards the Armenian community in Iran. Pashinyan also presented the results of the trilateral meeting that took place yesterday in Sochi.
Mehrnews reports that Armenia and Iran have signed a memorandum of understanding regarding the extension of agreements on electricity and gas.
