Kocharian on the Prohibition of Zatulini's Entry into Armenia
I regret to inform you about the shameful decision to prohibit Konstantin Zatulini's entry into Armenia. This was stated by Armenia's second president, Robert Kocharian.
This is unprecedented in the history of Armenia, as it is a rare occurrence for a lawmaker from a friendly country to be denied entry into our territory. It also raises questions since Konstantin Feodorovich has been one of those figures who has consistently stood by the Armenian people, fighting for the interests of the Republic of Artsakh and its people, both in public and private spheres.
Notably, it is unknown if any pro-Turkish or pro-Azerbaijani figures have ever been banned from entering Armenia. It is no coincidence that the public’s alarm and dissatisfaction stem from viewing this as a dangerous message. For the Armenian people, Konstantin Zatulini has been, is, and I am confident will remain a loyal friend of Armenia.
