France is Always by Armenia's Side in Difficult Situations, Says Pashinyan
In recent years, the relations between Armenia and France have gained new dynamics, as evidenced by frequent visits at various levels. This was stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a meeting with a delegation from the France-Armenia Friendship Group of the French Parliament, led by Anne-Laurence Petel.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister emphasized, “During this time, we have repeatedly been convinced that France is a friendly country for us, always by Armenia's side in difficult situations.” He added that the Armenian government is interested in the consistent development of bilateral cooperation in all areas.
Anne-Laurence Petel expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and, as a representative of the ruling party, added that France is ready to continue its support to Armenia in overcoming challenges.
The participants in the meeting discussed processes occurring in the South Caucasus region, steps to mitigate the consequences of Azerbaijan's aggression, as well as the ongoing activities of the EU mission already present in Armenia. The Prime Minister stressed France's significant role as a co-chairing state of the OSCE Minsk Group.
They exchanged views on further steps to increase economic ties and trade volumes between the two countries. A range of issues regarding the expansion of cooperation in areas such as infrastructure, telecommunications, energy, air transport, investments, agriculture, healthcare, science, and education were also discussed.
