ISIS Claims Responsibility for Terror Attack in Iran, Casualties Reported
The Islamic State terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the attack that occurred yesterday near the Shah Cheragh shrine in Shiraz, Iran, according to Mehr News Agency.
It is reported that the attack was carried out by one individual, resulting in the deaths of 15 people and leaving 19 others injured.
Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian condemned the act, stating that Iran will not allow terrorists to compromise its security. "There are specific intelligence reports indicating that enemies have developed a multifaceted plan to destabilize Iran. Undoubtedly, we will not permit the national security and interests of Iran to be endangered by terrorists and foreign intruders who claim to be human rights defenders," he stated.
