Tehran Prevented the Cutting of the Ancient Communication Route Between Iran and Armenia: Iranian Foreign Minister
Iran did not allow the implementation of a plan in the region that would sever ties between Armenia and Iran. This was stated by Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian during an interview for the documentary film "Field of Democracy" aired on Rasadnews channel, as reported by Yerkir.am.
“A very dangerous scenario was developed in the region, which was intended to alter the geopolitical landscape. Efforts were even made to cut the ancient communication route between Iran and Armenia. Iran did not allow this,” Amir Abdollahian said.
According to him, the Islamic Republic acted even before military exercises along its northwestern borders. “We have tried to resolve the issue through political means,” the minister added.
