“Winter Months Will Be a Challenge for Ukraine,” Zelensky Says

Russia may target Ukraine's electrical grid. In this regard, the winter months will pose a challenge for our country. This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview with CBS News published on Sunday, September 25.

The head of state emphasized that Ukrainians are not afraid of challenges. “We will fight and will not surrender; it is very important that they (the Russians) do not force other countries— the United States and Europe— to suffer,” the president said.

He brought attention to the fact that currently, it is the Ukrainians who are suffering. He also added that the Ukrainian people are now “fighting and giving their lives for the future of democracy and an open world.”

It is worth noting that earlier, Zelensky stated that Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin is well aware that thousands of people are dying as a result of his actions, but sees them as expendable resources in implementing his plans.
