Armenian Banks to Make Independent Decisions on Russian 'Mir' Payment System Cards
Armenian commercial banks will make independent decisions regarding the servicing of cards from the Russian 'Mir' payment system, in connection with the sanctions imposed against the Russian Federation. This was announced by the Central Bank of Armenia.
"Commercial banks in Armenia are independently managing their risks, including those related to sanctions. As for customer service, commercial banks will properly inform their clients in case of any changes to their service conditions," the Central Bank stated, in response to a question about the potential cessation of servicing 'Mir' cards.
