Video: How an Armed Man Entered a Bank and Took Hostages in Georgia
An armed individual has stormed the Bank of Georgia in the city of Kutaisi, located in the Imereti region of Georgia. The assailant has taken hostages and is demanding a ransom.
The police have cordoned off the area surrounding the incident. According to Georgian news sources, the attacker is demanding 2 million lari (approximately $704,000).
Law enforcement personnel have been mobilized on-site, and the vicinity has been secured. The Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs stated, "Law enforcement officers are carrying out all necessary and urgent procedures, and investigative and operational measures are also being undertaken."
