Rescue Worker Captured and Then Exchanged, MoD Confirms
On September 15, a rescue worker from Armenia's Ministry of Emergency Situations went missing in the Nerkhin Hand area of Syunik Province. It has been confirmed that the worker was captured and later exchanged for an Azerbaijani prisoner. The news was shared by the Ministry of Defense's press secretary, Aram Torosyan, in an interview with Sputnik Armenia.
It is important to note that the rescue team was initially sent to the area to retrieve bodies, and while part of the group returned, communication was lost with one of the rescue workers.
