US Concerned About Strikes on Armenian Settlements: US Secretary of State
The United States is deeply concerned about reports of attacks along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border, including strikes on residential areas and civilian infrastructure within Armenia, and calls for an immediate halt to military operations. This statement was made by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
“As we have long clarified, the conflict cannot have a military solution. We call for an immediate cessation of any military actions,” Blinken's statement said.
It is worth noting that on September 13, starting from 00:05, the Azerbaijani armed forces began intense fire towards Armenian positions in the directions of Goris, Sotk, and Jermuk using artillery and heavy-caliber firearms. The adversary is also utilizing drones.
The intense exchange of fire, which began as a result of a large-scale provocation by the Azerbaijani side, continues. The armed forces of Armenia are providing an adequate response. The Ministry of Defense reports that there are casualties and injuries on the Armenian side, and the data is being verified.
