Arthur Aleksanyan Defeats Turkish Opponent

At the World Wrestling Championship taking place in Belgrade, Olympic champion, multiple world and European champion Arthur Aleksanyan has advanced to the quarter-finals in the 97 kg weight category.

The Olympic champion triumphed over the two-time world champion from Turkey, Metehan Basar.

It is worth noting that Aleksanyan's first opponent had withdrawn from the match.

Furthermore, European championship medalist and silver medalist at the European Games, Karapet Chalyan, won against Croatian Filip Sachic in the 1/16 round.

In the 63 kg weight category, Hrachya Poghosyan achieved victory with a score of 5-2 against his Japanese opponent in the 1/16 finals.

Meanwhile, in the 67 kg weight category, Slavik Galstyan lost to Olympic silver medalist Parviz Nasibov with a score of 7-7.
