Sooner or Later, Everything Will Be Fine for the Armenian National Team: Yeghishe Melikyan
The head coach of the Armenian national team, Yeghishe Melikyan, discussed our team's prospects for qualifying for the 2028 European Championship.
In an interview with a correspondent from the Russian publication 'Чемпионат', the Armenian specialist emphasized that the team has great potential, but motivation alone is not enough to qualify for such a major tournament: "We really want to be at the European Championship, but just wanting is not enough. Opportunities are another matter. We have a young and promising team that has a bright future ahead. I believe in them.
However, will we be able to achieve significant growth in a short time? For now, we are somewhat lacking experience, but sooner or later, everything will be fine for the Armenian national team. We just need time," Melikyan noted.
It is worth mentioning that the qualifying phase for Euro-2028 will start in March 2027 and will conclude in November. A total of 24 national teams will participate in the final round of this continental event.
