Armenian Men's Chess Team Triumphs in Final Round of Olympiad
The Armenian men's chess team celebrated victory in the final round of the 44th World Olympiad.
In the last, 11th round of the World Olympiad taking place in Chennai, India, the Armenian team faced off against the Spanish national team.
Manuel Petrosyan, Robert Hovhannesyan, and Hrant Melikyan all finished their games in a draw, while only Gabriel Sargsyan secured a victory. The final score was Armenia - Spain 2.5 - 1.5.
The final results of the Olympiad will be announced once Uzbekistan completes its matches, as both the Uzbek and Armenian teams currently hold equal points. Uzbekistan's last round opponent is the Netherlands.
