Murder in Yerevan: Man Stabbed in Chest Dies in Hospital

Today, on July 15, a murder occurred in Yerevan. Around 14:00, the police received a report from the Mashtots division that a man had been brought in with a life-threatening condition.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan from the scene, shortly after, a call was received from the hospital stating that the victim had died without regaining consciousness.

The police and investigators have established that a dispute took place near the monument located in the park between the 1st and 2nd neighborhoods of Davitashen Pirumyan Street, and the citizen was transported to the Armenia Medical Center in an ambulance.

Investigators found glasses and blood-like traces near the scene of the stabbing, a considerable distance away, and also discovered a hat and more blood-like traces on the sidewalk near a high-rise building.

A criminal case has been initiated by the investigative division under the characteristics of murder. The police and investigative division are undertaking the necessary operational investigative measures to clarify the circumstances of the case and to identify the perpetrator and the weapon used in the crime.

According to G. Shamshyan's reports, one of the stabs was to the left side of the chest.
