Police Officers Stop Driver and Assist in Emergency Hospital Visit
On July 10, between 22:00 and 22:30, Gurgen Galstyan, a senior police officer, and patrol officer Gohar Arzumanyan of the Yerevan police department were on duty on the Tbilisi highway when they noticed that the driver of a Kia vehicle was exceeding the speed limit.
The officers attempted to stop the driver to impose administrative penalties, but the young male driver informed them that his pregnant wife was experiencing severe pains, and he had no other option but to take her to the hospital.
The patrol officers reported the situation to their commander, Gor Arakelyan, who ordered them to escort the Kia driver to the Nairi Medical Center. Upon arrival at the hospital's main entrance, the officers accompanied the husband and his pregnant wife to see a doctor.
The family member of the pregnant woman informed shamshyan.com that doctors at the hospital have assured them that both the woman and the fetus are not in danger, and they are now under medical supervision, all thanks to the swift hospital transfer facilitated by her husband and the assistance from the Yerevan patrol officers.
