Major Car Accident in Kotayk Province: Former Official Involved in Toyota Land Cruiser Crash
Today, on June 24, a major car accident occurred in Kotayk Province. Around 12:00 PM, Murad Harutyunyan, a 51-year-old resident of Noratus village, lost control of his Toyota Land Cruiser 150 while traveling on the Yerevan-Sevan highway, 40 km section, veering off the road, crashing into concrete barriers, and flipping several times before landing on rocks.
According to reports from the scene by shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, one individual was promptly attended to by the emergency responders from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, specifically from the Fire and Rescue Unit 44 in Hrazdan, along with an urgent care team who arrived promptly. The injured person was then transported to the “Hrazdan” Medical Center after receiving initial care on-site.
Reports suggest that driver Murad Harutyunyan is the former mayor of Noratus.
