23-Year-Old Jumps from Armenian Genocide Museum, Text Message Found on His Phone
A tragic incident occurred today in Yerevan. Around 11:00 AM, the Malatya police department received a call reporting a body near the Armenian Genocide Museum. Photographer Gagik Shamshyan reports that police arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area until the arrival of the forensic expert and the coroner.
Officers and patrol officers established that the deceased was 23-year-old Hayk M. from the Kotayk region, who committed suicide by jumping from the aforementioned location. According to Shamshyan, in the morning, his mother contacted the Malatya police department and informed them that her son had sent a message to a relative via his phone, then drove to the site, parked his car, and jumped from the height.
By the investigator's decision, an autopsy has been ordered.
