If I Know Vanetsyan is Coming, I Will Stand Beside Ghazinyan: Gagik Jhangiryan

The suspended president of the Supreme Judicial Council, Ruben Vardazaryan, has published a recording during a press conference in which acting chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council, Gagik Jhangiryan, talks about the criminal cases against Ruben Vardazaryan.

Vardazaryan noted that the recording was made on February 20, 2021, when he was asked by the Prime Minister to resign. He requested time until March 1, after which he wanted to meet with Pashinyan personally.

“If I resign by that deadline, Jhangiryan guarantees that there will be no criminal case against me,” Vardazaryan explained.

In the published recording, when asking Jhangiryan why he needs all of this, Gagik Jhangiryan responds: “I don’t want Robert Kocharyan to come back; we barely escaped from that cloud. If I know Vanetsyan is coming, and Ghazinyan Arthur is coming, I will stand beside them. But I know he is coming, along with the Dashnaks. Serzh won’t come either, keep that in mind,” Jhangiryan said.
