It Is Inevitable: Putin's Statement
The multipolarity of the world is unavoidable in modern conditions, stated Russian President Vladimir Putin during the plenary session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, according to Kommersant.
“It (multipolarity) is not pleasant, but it is inevitable. When someone tries to freeze relations at the level of 30 years ago, I have said that people do not understand this. The movement is inevitable; new centers of power are emerging. But some do not like it, and they do not like the growing power of China either. In terms of economic volume, China has become the number one economy in the world, and that is a fact,” said the Russian president.
