Payments in Yerevan Hospitals Will Be Cashless Only: When the Decision Will Take Effect
During a meeting with journalists, the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank, Hovhannes Khachatryan, announced that starting from July 1, payments in Yerevan hospitals will only be made cashless.
One year later, this law will also apply to hospitals operating in the regions.
The deputy governor stated that, according to their information, all medical facilities have this capability, and those who currently do not have the ability to receive payments via POS terminals or other methods are preparing to adopt this capability.
“Everyone will have POS terminals; however, if a customer prefers not to pay that way or wishes to use another cashless payment method, such as e-wallets, that is also acceptable,” Khachatryan said.
