Tragic Incident at Metsamor Nuclear Plant: One Fatality

A tragic incident occurred in the Armavir region today, on June 8. Around 11:00 AM, the Metsamor Medical Center notified the Metsamor police department that a citizen had been brought to them deceased.

According to shamshyan.com, police officers and investigators have determined that the deceased was a 59-year-old resident of Armavir, identified as Varsham M. He was engaged in renovation work on a cooling tower at the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant when a steel pipe weighing around 7 meters fell on him, resulting in his death.

Following the incident, the Armavir regional investigative department has initiated procedures, and several examinations have been ordered by the investigator, including a forensic examination of the body.
