Putin Continues to Seize New Territories at a Heavy Cost, Says Johnson

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson stated today that Russian President Vladimir Putin's army is making advancements in eastern Ukraine.

“It seems that Putin, at a heavy cost to himself and the Russian military, continues to seize new territories in Donbas. He continues to achieve tangible gains, albeit slowly, so it is extremely necessary that we continue to support the Ukrainian army,” said Johnson.

According to the British Prime Minister, the Ukrainian army needs new military equipment, including new multiple rocket launch systems. “Another option to end the war is for Putin to accept that the denazification of Ukraine has been completed and thus be able to withdraw from Ukraine with dignity,” Johnson stated, while emphasizing that he does not share the Russian side's assumption that there are Nazis in Ukraine. Johnson believes that, in any case, Putin has “political maneuvering and war-ending options.”
