Fire in Delhi Claims Lives and Injuries
At least 26 people have died as a result of a fire in the Indian capital, Delhi. NDTV reports this, citing the city's police. More than 40 individuals have been hospitalized with burns.
The fire broke out in a commercial building located in the western part of the city. According to police, approximately 70 people were rescued from the building. The number of casualties and injuries may increase as rescue teams have yet to reach one of the floors.
The cause of the fire is still unknown. The President of India has expressed condolences to the families of the victims and wishes a speedy recovery to the injured.
