City Hall Employees Inside the Building: Mayor's Spokesperson Shares Details

Almost all employees of the Yerevan City Hall are inside the building. This was stated by the spokesperson for the Yerevan mayor, Levon Sardarov, in an interview with Auroranews.am.

“Yes, the employees are inside because the building was surrounded before the workday ended,” Sardarov said. Earlier, it was reported that opposition members had blocked all four entrances to the Yerevan City Hall. The city hall building is still surrounded.

Sardarov also noted that the protesters assured the police that they do not intend to storm the city hall but emphasized that employees wishing to leave the building should join them.

As previously reported, the situation near the Yerevan City Hall is tense. Participants of the march have surrounded the city hall building, and all four entrances are blocked. A large number of police forces are attempting to disperse them.
