Turkish Media's Reaction: How Happy They Were That Hambik Sasunyan Was Arrested, Says Sagatelyan
Protests against the government continue across the capital and regions, with roads closed at the moment, including Sevan-Martuni and Sevan-Yerevan. I have been informed that there will also be closed roads in Tavush. Currently, there are several demonstrations taking place in Yerevan, accompanied by acts of civil disobedience,” said Ishkhan Sagatelyan, a representative of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation, in a conversation with reporters at France Square.
According to him, the police employed disgracefully disproportionate force, even against MPs. Sagatelyan also reported that there are currently about 180 individuals under arrest.
“Justice fighter Hambik Sasunyan has also been detained, and the police and Nikol apparently wanted to please the Turks and Azerbaijanis with this action. You saw the Turkish media's reaction, how happy and joyful they were that after 40 years of imprisonment, the Armenian avenger was assaulted by the police in the center of Yerevan. They are only exposing themselves further, continuing to carry out the illegal orders of the person who found himself in the prime minister's chair, but they won't be able to do this for long, because the time will come when they will be obliged to report to Pashinyan that they can no longer control the situation,” Sagatelyan stated.
