Presenter Falls into River While Boating with Rubber Raft: Ministry of Emergency Situations
Today, information emerged that Armine Jagharyan, a presenter at the "Shant" television company, died after falling into the Debed River. The Ministry of Emergency Situations provided new details about the incident.
On May 9, at 15:48, the Lory Regional Crisis Management Center received a call stating that one of the citizens boating with a rubber raft in the Debed River, near the Alaverdi-Vanadzor highway, had fallen into the river and required rescuers' assistance.
Two firefighting teams from the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were dispatched to the scene. Rescuers pulled A. J. (born in 1991) from the Debed River near the "Sanahin" station in Alaverdi, unconscious, and transported her to an ambulance. The injured was hospitalized at the Alaverdi Medical Center, where her death was recorded.
