‘Mariupol is under the control of the Russian army’ – Shoigu

Russian military forces are in control of Mariupol, declared Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu during a meeting. The information was conveyed by RIA Novosti.

“In the LPR, the DPR, and the areas of Ukraine liberated from nationalists, peaceful life is beginning. This includes Mariupol, which is the largest industrial and transportation hub of the Sea of Azov. It is under the control of the Russian army,” said Shoigu.

It should be noted that the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Igor Konashenkov, had previously reported that the entire territory of Mariupol has been cleared of the Ukrainian army, foreign mercenaries, and neo-Nazis from the Azov regiment, with their remnants blocked in the Azovstal metallurgical plant.
