Manchester United footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has expressed his gratitude to Liverpool fans for their tribute in memory of his deceased newborn son.

"One world, one sport, one big family. Thank you. My family and I will never forget that moment of respect and compassion," Ronaldo wrote on his Instagram page.

It is reminded that Liverpool won 2-0 against Manchester United at their home stadium, Anfield. In the 7th minute, as the Portuguese player wears the number 7 jersey, fans sang 'You'll Never Walk Alone' and paid tribute to Ronaldo's deceased newborn son with a minute of applause. Earlier, he announced that his newborn son had passed away. Georgina Rodriguez was supposed to give birth to twins, but only the girl survived.
