Major Car Accident in Kotayk Region: Several Injured
On March 27, a car accident occurred in the Kotayk region. Around 8:00 PM, at the 8th kilometer of the Nor Geghi-Ashtarak highway, a collision occurred between an Opel Zafira driven by 31-year-old Vardan Grigoryan, a resident of Aragatsotn region, and a VAZ 2112 driven by Karen Tonoyan, a resident of Kotayk.
According to shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, K. Tonoyan and his passenger, 21-year-old Ellen Harutyunyan from Kotayk, were taken to the medical center in Yeghvard with bodily injuries.
The impact caused both vehicles to leave the traffic lane and collide with a gas pipeline. Rescuers disconnected the power to the vehicles, closed the valves on the gas cylinders, and assisted the injured by bringing them to the ambulance.
